The Appalachian League has come and gone several times over the years. It initially formed in 1911 and lasted until 1914. Next, it ran from 1921 to 1925. Then from 1937 until 1955. The current version began in 1957 as a short-season league. Teams occasionally change but Bluefield has been affiliated with the Orioles since 1958, making it the longest running affiliation in baseball. December 2007 News: Pulaski will return to the league in 2008. Click here to learn more!
